Welcome to Nanovic Law Offices

The mission of our firm is to provide the best client service possible to those individuals and organizations we represent in Carbon County and throughout eastern Pennsylvania.

A top priority is to provide proactive legal advice. By that we mean, provide the best legal counseling possible so our clients - individuals, businesses and other organizations - to avoid legal difficulties. In this way, legal costs can be minimized through preventive measures. When legal problems do occur, we will represent your interests to the best of our ability. This commitment is shared by our professional staff of paralegals and secretaries.

Beginning in June 2014, we will be adding a new feature to our web site.  Under the tab “News & Article we will provide ours visitors with timely news and articles we think will be of interest to them. These will be of a non-technical nature and nothing in them should be considered as the rendering of legal advice.

Rather it is intended to give our visitors a closer look at us, who we are, how we think and express ourselves, and how we have served the legal needs of the community these past 60 years.

Visitors are invited to email and comment or submit questions and if and when appropriate we will attempt to address them in this format.

For over forty years, the firm has provided legal services to clients throughout Pennsylvania while maintaining the principles and traditions of excellence and commitment of the law, family and community.

As a family law firm, our mission is to take each client's personal and business problem as seriously as if it were our family's problem.

History of Our Firm

Roger N. Nanovic opened an office for the practice of law as a sole practitioner at 57 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, in 1956.  This followed his discharge from the United States Army at the end of the Korean War.  In 1958, Nanovic formed an association with Albert H. Heimbach for the practice of law.  Mr. Heimbach was a well-established Jim Thorpe/Carbon County attorney.  Later in 1958, that association grew into a partnership of Heimbach and Nanovic and lasted until 1960 when Albert Heimbach was elected President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Carbon County.

In 1979, Roger N. Nanovic, II joined his father in the firm at 57 Broadway, followed by Thomas S. Nanovic in 1982, and James R. Nanovic in 1985.  The four Nanovics practiced at 57 Broadway until 2001 when Roger N. Nanovic, II left Nanovic Law Offices to serve as President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Carbon County.
